What's that smell?

UK Government in not making sense shock!

In the latest instalment of the COVID-19 pandemic fallout, the UK Government has announced that face coverings will become mandatory in shops and supermarkets in England from 24 July.

According to the health secretary, Matt Hancock, the move will give people more confidence to shop safely and enhance protections for those who work in shops, not least because sales assistants, cashiers and security guards have suffered disproportionately in this crisis. He also quoted some statistics to make his point, but you can prove pretty much anything with the right statistics.

Yet, according to the BBC's report, this mandate will not apply to retail staff themselves. You know, the ones that are disproportionately affected? They're not responsible for their own safety, nor that of others. (confused)
