A man who knows his onions
CNN host Don Lemon's surname is pronounced the same as the citrus fruit. It's recently come to my attention that Fox News' Tucker Carlson apparently pronounces it as Le-Mon
—similar to Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon. Perhaps Carslon's retarded. (shrug)
Anyhow, it all put me in mind of someone I used to work with, albeit indirectly, years ago. I only met him briefly, but he was the bain of another colleague's life. His surname was Onions, although he insisted we pronounce as if he were of Irish descent: O'Nions
. 'Twas the source of great amusement behind his back.
