Following the same day release of Black Widow to theatres and streaming, Disney will release Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings exclusively to theatres for a 45-day period. CEO Bob Chapek cited this as an interesting experiment
, which riled the film's lead, Simu Lui.
Poor old Bob, he just can't catch a break. First, he cops it from ScarJo for a simultaneous release, then from Lui for giving his film the release that ScarJo's bitchin' for. It's probably all to do with sexism and racial stereotyping, or whatever the Twitterati are losing their shit over today.
If he didn't helm the evil empire, I'd feel sorry for ol' baldy.
