This is my truth

Charlotte's web

Charlotte Jackson is a recruiter. She claims to be an independent consultant but, judging by the From/Reply-To email address headers, she also seems to work with Imperial Search. Imperial Search's website is very lightweight, which sends off scammy umbrella-company vibes. Nevertheless, so far, so mundane.

What is curious is that this is not the first time she's contacted me. I've received several messages from her, at two different accounts, over several months. And each message refers to an unidentified client with an unspecified, upcoming position in my country that needs to be filled. It's all very vague, but repetitious.

Hmmmm. There's something about this that just doesn't seem quite right.

Hope you are well. I was keen to get in touch to see if you were potentially open to considering opportunities now. I had a look at your profile and identified that you have the experience and expertise that my client requires for and upcoming job opportunity that needs to be filled. I also noticed that you are based in the country where the opportunity will be based which makes the recruitment process far easier. Perhaps we could arrange a time to discuss further? If you could let me know a good time and number to reach you on, I am happy to call you at your convenience or if you send me your CV via LinkedIn or email me on this one. I can review it and keep you updated on a quarterly basis with opportunities that become available for someone of your skill set. Either way I look forward to hearing from you! I responded, but I don't expect anything in return. To a low-rent CV collector, this is as good as an unfriending.

Hi Charlotte Thank you for your kind offer. I would want to know the name of the company and some idea of the position before committing further. Best wishes
