And it's come to this

Low five

The Predator franchise has taken, for me at least, a similar trajectory to that of Terminator's. The first instalment was excellent; the second was good enough, but not a patch on its predecessor; and thereafter I lost interest. At least Arnie bailed after Predator though, rather than returning like a sad sack to demean his original appearance.

And, like Terminator: Dark Fate before it, the latest in the Predator series, Disney's catchily-entitled Predator 5, looks set to be characterised by identity politics and woke posturing. Compelling stuff! (rolleyes)

But, at least I got further into those franchises than I did with Alien. The first instalment was too gruesome for my taste, and once we saw the alien and its method of reproduction, the suspense was limited to jump scares. By then, the cat was already out of the bag, or, rather, the Xenomorph was out of the abdomen. Yeuch! (ewww)

Never even heard of her and the fact that the only qualification she has going for her is "but my daddy is an actor too and i'm a minority" explains why. But hey, i support anything that makes Disney lose more money.
