Bridge over the river Detroit
After almost a week-long stand-off with a mélange of malcontented numbskulls, Canadian police have finally liberated the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor, ON, and Detroit, MI.
This was the moment the protesters had dreaded. "I was hoping it wasn't going to end like this, I was hoping the police would allow us to continue to peacefully protest," Tyler Kok told the BBC as he left the site.

Really? And what I mean by that is…really? After all the disruption and public attention, did he seriously believe that the police would just walk away? What kind of imbecile thinks like that? I realise that truckers needn't be endowed with searing intellect, but come on.
