What's that smell?

Government of the people, by [some of] the people, for the party

The BBC reports its, and possibly others', surprise as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un did not appear on the ballot for election to the country's parliament, the Supreme People's Assembly. His sister, Kim Yo-jong, was elected, although that should come as no surprise in a meaningless vote.

What did come as a surprise, to me at least, was that the party has a Propaganda and Agitation Department. Of course, many nations have agencies involved in nefarious activities, but they tend to be a little more discrete, if not clandestine.

So, good show North Korea, at least you're honest. Even if no one really trusts you.

Of course, only selected people need apply to the Supreme People's Assembly, it's not a bloody democracy after all!
