All's not what it seems

Religious drugs are cuddly

Better than religion. I have a Steiff bear just like this one. Awwwww!

In A Christian Response to Wokeness, Noelle Mering relates the modern history of the woke movement, originating with the work of Karl Marx. All of which reminded me…

Marx stated: Die Religion…ist das Opium des Volkes; commonly paraphrased as religion is the opium of the masses. I don't agree.

I believe that people are fundamentally scared that we're alone on this world; and once we die, that's it. End. They need a benevolent presence watching over them, and an afterlife so that they need not fear the end of this one.

From that perspective, religion is the teddy bear of the masses. Except that teddy bear owners don't kill other teddy bear owners for cuddling a different teddy bear. Nor do they consider themselves morally superior to non-teddy bear owners living their best lives. Facts! (pipe)
