Bond theme songs
Over the past couple of weeks, I haven't been able to get You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever out of my head. They seem to be stuck on repeat play. And that's not such a bad thing, I quite like them.
But, it occurred to me that I can't remember a single theme song from the Daniel Craig era. I recall that Skyfall was a hit, although I can't stand Adele's voice. I quite liked Sam Smith's SPECTRE theme, although I can't remember the song itself.* The less said about Billie Eilish's pompous-yet-dreary effort, the better.
I suppose the theme songs fit the tone of their films, which makes sense. But, although gritty and dark set a great atmosphere for the secret service, they don't make for memorable or catchy tunes.
* I had to look it up, and it's not even called SPECTRE. (nosmile)
