Shitstorm in a teacup
The English language has been enriched by many German words, such as zeitgeist; schadenfreude; and, the all-time classic, blitzkrieg. So it's only fair that we return the favour.
Perhaps they would like to adopt wondrous
? So much prettier than wunderbar. Or flirtatious
? A delightfully cheeky, fun-loving little thing, wouldn't you agree?
But, no, they've chosen shitstorm
.
At least it's pithy, I suppose.
For anyone who thinks that I don't know that Zeitgeist is capitalised in German, the Anglicisation is deliberate.
