'Nutritious' has added sugar?
Apparently those mirthless buggers at the UK Advertising Standards Authority have upheld complaints about advertising by those frisky buggers at Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola advertised their water with vitamins and sugar—or, more realistically, with sugar and vitamins—as being nutritious
. ASA argued that most people would not consider 23g* of sugar per 500mL to be nutritious, despite the fact that this complies with the EU regulations for a low calorie
drink. Christ knows what constitutes a high calorie drink.
Next thing you know, MacDonalds will be washing their salads with sugar water. Oh…
* 23g is about 3 teaspoons. Of sugar. In a health drink
