Hugh Grant's 'retirement'
Hugh Grant apparently threw a strop at the opening of his latest film, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason, saying that it would be his last as he hated the whole industry now…I paraphrase somewhat.
Personally, I've never warmed to Grant's floppy-haired, fey, English character. Actually, there are times when I could've quite cheerfully landed one on him. Although I understand that he plays a cad against type in the BJ* films.
So I'm not overly bothered if he keeps to his promise.
* BJ in this case being Bridget Jones, rather than a reference to his cavortings with Divine Brown, hohoho.
