I think I've pissed myself

Oi, what have you been up to fatty?

Well, since you ask so nicely, I shall tell you, gentle reader. I've been building a website. Or, rather, rebuilding it. Actually, re-rebuilding it, if I'm to be perfectly honest. And not just one, but that's another story.

I used to use Adobe GoLive, which is, or used to be, a pretty decent WYSIWYG web development application. The only two downsides to version 6 were slightly sucky CSS-P support and impenetrable code generation, so adapting its automated SQL/PHP output was not easy. But it at least allowed me to build dynamic, database-driven sites without having to do too much scripting, and I did most of the CSS-P in source mode anyhow.

And then version 7 was released, which improved the CSS support. Yayyyy! (grin)

But Adobe's marketing boyz 'n' gurlz had a collective brain fart and decided that no one was building dynamic sites anymore. Boo! (SMH)

So, anyone wanting to add PHP/MySQL to a site would have to do it manually. Eeeek! (eek)

I figured that, if I was gonna have to do that then, since I could already roll my own HTML and CSS, all I really needed to totally ditch GoLive was to learn JavaScript.

And, lo, JavaScriptNumnut™ was unleashed onto an unsuspecting world.

The excitement is almost tangible.
