Every life counts, but some more than others
Opposition to the reintroduction of the death penalty in the Philippines is exemplified by, among other things, this cute little graphic.
It shows a hangman game with the letter C
missing from the word INNOCENT
to represent the one in seven innocent victims of capital punishment. The missing letter is the innocent victim. Clever!
Would it be too pedantic to point out that INNOCENT
has eight letters, and so the missing one is one in eight? Thought so.
