What's that smell?

Roast chicken

Reading about the Gotha UWD 120, an early German seaplane of WWI, I was amused to learn of the aircraft's service record.

[It was able] to participate in a 6 aircraft raid on the English coast on 19 March 1916 which killed 9 civilians (including 6 children), 5 soldiers, and a chicken.

Wingnut Wings

I don't make light of the human toll, but that someone thought to add the avian casualty to the report strikes me as thorough, to say the least. I never realised that chickens were counted as casualties of anything other than dinner.
