Will this madness never end?

Thought for the day: hedging your bets

If you don't believe in a god and the afterlife, and you're wrong, you'll find out when you die. But, if you do believe, and you're wrong, how will you ever know? (thinking)

I suppose that's the advantage of belief: you can't lose. (thumbup)

Another way of looking at this: if believers are correct, then they go to paradise and non-believers…don't; if non-believers are correct, everyone gets the same outcome. Therefore, the smart money's on belief. The only downside, other than people avoiding you at parties, being the inconvenience associated with organised religion.
