Doing a Todd
Overanalysing song lyrics, à la Todd in the Shadows, that is.
I came across a YouTube short, introducing a mashup between Gotye's Someone That I Used to Know and Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. It's pretty damned clever. But it dragged up old questions over Astley's opus that've lain dormant in my mind for years, if not decades.

Why wouldn't she get this from any other guy? What's wrong with her? Should she be grateful that some bloke with a dodgy quiff and dodgier dance moves is willing to give her more than the time of day? And, if so, what's wrong with him? Besides the dodgy quiff and dance moves.
Despite all that, though, the mashup is pretty damned clever. (thumbup)
Incidentally, autofuckup didn't recognise quiff
and suggested quidditch
as a replacement. WTF?
