No nudes is good news

An Australian ocean swimmer has resigned from her surf club, after receiving notice that she'd breached their no nudity policy when changing out of her swimming costume…in the changing room. Club members are directed to shower in their swimming costume, and change under a towel; at that point, one might as well just go to the beach and save the membership/entrance fee. Surf Life Saving New South Wales' CEO sought to avert mockery:

"We're aware the facilities are inadequate," he told the BBC. "But [the club] received complaints from some junior members about being intimidated and uncomfortable. Mr Pearce said over a third of the Terrigal club's registered members were aged under 14.

This is all in same-sex changing rooms, I presume. So it's not as if any inappropriately laddish willy-waving was involved. Just women changing out of their swimming costumes, and into daywear, with an intervening shower. Quietly, conveniently, maturely. Like normal people do, the world-over.

And the kiddywinks have complained? About same-sex nudity in a changing room? Wow! (snowflake)

Australia seems to be vying with the United Kingdom as the land of nanny knows best. (SMH)
