Too close to call?
Flordelis dos Santos de Souza has been expelled from Brazil's lower house of Congress, for allegedly plotting her husband's murder in 2019.
In a motion to remove her for conduct incompatible with parliamentary decorum
, 437 members voted in favour, seven voted against, and twelve abstained. Her expulsion means that she no longer enjoys parliamentary immunity from arrest.
After the vote went against she told lawmakers: "When the court absolves me, you will regret condemning a person who has not yet been tried."
There's no mention as to whether de Souza has demanded a recount. (whistling)
