Most of it's boring

It's the end of the world as we know it

Although there are competing theories as to how our universe may eventually cease to be, cosmologist Katie Mack finds the fact that it will just a little bit freeing. While scientists have no way of predicting when this will happen, and it could be any moment now, It's probably not going to happen in the next, you know, trillions and trillions and trillions and trillions of years and so on.

This means that Dr Mack is unlikely to witness the event, or discover which of the competing theories is correct. But, oddly enough, I find the fact that I won't be around to witness it either…just a little bit freeing.
