Will this madness never end?

Party poopers

As Birmingham is added to the UK government's yo-yo watch list, due to a spike in COVID-19 cases, police have disrupted more than seventy unlicensed social gatherings in one night.

It is the third weekend of similar events seen by the force. A week ago, officers discovered a rave of more than 300 people in Birmingham city centre during a night in which 80 gatherings were targeted.

They do like to party, those brummies!

Killing peoples' joy must make the police feel so special, just like arresting those selfish, antisocial a-hats who drive while using their mobile 'phones. Oh no, wait, that would require doing actual work! (rolleyes)

Of course, the police are only doing their job and upholding the law of the land. It just appears to me that focus tends to be given to things that are expedient; busting parties and speeding motorists is easy peasy lemon squeezy, burglary and drivers using mobile 'phones require more effort.

So, busting parties and speeding motorists it is then! (thumbup)
