The drains have backed up again

Saying it's not doesn't mean it's not

Food Safety 2022 have invited me to speak at their Food Science & Technology 2022 webinar. I am so honoured!

Well, me and at least 452 others, since that was the number of recipient addresses in the message's To: field. Suddenly, I don't feel so special. (sad)

With Regards, John William Program Manager | Food Science & Technology 2022 Whatsapp: + 44-772-372-5001 Disclaimer: This is not a spam message and has been sent to you because of your eminence in the field. If, however, you do not want to receive any email in the future from Food Science & Technology 2022 then reply to us with the subject "remove/opt-out". We concern about your privacy.

Now, I've mentioned this before, but just to reiterate. Simply stating that your message is not spam doesn't make it not spam. It was unsolicited; it is commercial; I have not corresponded with these arseholes, my email address was harvested; and none of my work suggests an interest in food safety—sheeeit, I was cutting and deseeding hot chillis yesterday without gloves, and I have the skin burns to prove it. All of these are hallmarks of spam. So, it is a spam message, whether John Williams, if that is indeed his real name, understands it or not.

Holy shit, I've just received another invitation, along with another 439 recipients. These are lower down the alphabetical list than the previous lot. So there could be more to come. Now that arsehole's just insulting me.

John Williams, Program Manager, Food Science & Technology 2022, you're an arsehole! (mad)
