I think I've soiled myself

The will of God?

An Indian couple, Mangayamma Yaramati and Sitarama Rajarao, have welcomed twin daughters following IVF treatment. This wouldn't really be worthy of comment, if were not for the fact that she is 73, and he is a sprightly 82 years young.

"Nothing is in our hands. Whatever should happen will happen. It is all in the hands of God," Mr Rajarao had said when asked who would care for the children in case anything were to happen to the couple due to their advanced age.

Mr Rajarao then proved his point the day after the girls were born, when he was hospitalised following a stroke.

The couple had always wanted children, but were unable to conceive and felt stigmatised in their village. So, now that they've taken that little problem out of God's hands, they're happy.

I wonder how happy their daughters will be, if at school they're teased for having parents older than most grandparents, or when they have to face the inevitable bereavement of a parent at an age when children shouldn't know of such things?
