Everyday thoughts, but not every day

Land of haa, or hal

A bit of a non-story, about confusion between a footballer and a Swedish coastal region, led the BBC's Tom Gerken—not to be confused with a pickled cucumber—to offer a handy-dandy mnemonic, in an effort to pour oil on troubled waters.

In case there remains any confusion, we've put together a cheat sheet you can refer to if you need help telling the difference between the two: • Haaland (double "a", single "l") - footballer usually seen scoring goals for Manchester City • Halland (double "l", single "a") - region in Sweden just south of Gothenburg

Except Halland doesn't have a single A, it has two of those suckers, although they're separated by the double L. Other than that, jolly good show Mr Gherkin. (thumbup)
