The wearing down of the MCU luster is unfortunately being seen, as Disney’s Thor: Love and Thunder is having a great fall, with a -68% drop for a second weekend that’s estimated to be around $46.5M.

I see this quite often, and not just in reference to films tanking in their second week at the box office. A -68% reduction is a 68% increase.
In this instance, the takings fell by 68%; changed by -68%; or even grew by -68%. Most readers would understand the first better, while financial pundits love the third.
It's akin to a double negative, and double negatives piss me right off! Although my ire is tempered by the bad news for Disney. (thumbup)
