SciPinion is not an Indian predatory publishing house pretending to be based in the US. Firstly, it's not a publishing house. And, secondly, the company is based in the US; Bozman, MT to be precise.

The company mission is to introduce clarity and certainty from the expert community to the world’s toughest science problems, instilling universal trust in science. It's a laudable enough aim, although whether it's achievable is another matter. Nonetheless, I believe that they're genuine.

With all that said, why the need for a skeevy image tag tracker? It doesn't create a good impression, particularly for an organisation concerned with instilling trust. There again, neither does sending repeated unsolicited emails. (pipe)

And what's the deal with the already registered option? Why are people receiving solicitations to register if they've already registered? (confused)
