LOTSW: it goin', finally
Last of the Summer Wine is being put out to pasture after 37 years, most of that in a spiral of decline. Perhaps it got better over recent years but, from what I remember of the last episodes that I watched, it really was begging to be put out of its misery.
Peter Sallis is still going strong, bless him, either a testament to his staying power, or lack of imagination. At least Bill Owen had the good grace to kark it.
The final series will feature Brian Murphy as Alvin. It is not reported as to whether he will be performing with or without his chipmunks. But thar's a lotta room in them thar troosers.
