The wit and wisdom of IMDb reviews

Watching one of Georg Rockall-Schmidt's vlogs, What Makes A Movie So Bad It's Good?, I was introduced to Harold P. Warren's 1966 horror Manos: The Hands of Fate. Rockall-Schmidt describes it as often cited as the worst film ever made. A rating of 1.9/10 from 33,238 IMDb users certainly supports this contention.

But one user was at least able to praise John Reynolds's performance as the evil henchman—actually a satyr—Torgo:

The leading man is a Frank Zappa lookalike with only a fraction of the talent Zappa (being dead) has. However, the real star of the film, Torgo (a goat-man), performed in some of the best walking-from-one-end-of-the-set-to-another scenes I have seen since 1950s Corman films.

And the train wreck can be viewed on YouTube, or perhaps slightly more palatably via Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Remember though, just because it can, doesn't mean it should.

Currently, if IMDb user ratings are anything to go by, Manos: The Hands of Fate is only the second worst film of all time.
