British TV host and journalist, Richard Madeley, fell ill on the set of reality TV programme, I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! It certainly did get him out of there, his hospitalisation meant that he'd broken the set's COVID bubble, and it was therefore a one-way trip.
I genuinely feel sorry for him, because he certainly seemed to be up for making the most of the experience.
Madeley told Metro before he went into the castle: "I really hope I do get voted for the trials. The thing about this programme is you mustn't go into it if you take yourself remotely seriously."
Beyond that, though, the only other thing that really crossed what passes for my mind, is how little I knew of the other contestants. I guess celebrity
has a pretty broad definition.
