It's all gone to shit

The power of the cat ladies

Anna Bower, X: “hell hath no fury like a certain childless cat lady who has yet to endorse a presidential candidate” accompanied by a TIME cover of Swift with one of her moggies
The stench of cat's piss. Swifties believe their heroine is unpredictable and more influential than perhaps might be the case.

Orange Don's running mate, JD Vance, has upset the childless cat ladies, thanks to comments dredged up from a 2021 interview in which he called Democrats: a bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives. It may or may not be fair comment, but that's beside the point.

Excitable little commies* have invoked the spirit of Taylor Swift in response, one going so far as to X: hell hath no fury like a certain childless cat lady who has yet to endorse a presidential candidate.

It sounds like a threat, but I can't help but wonder what type of threat it is and what it's supposed to mean. Is it meant to imply that Swift would've endorsed Trump, if only Vance hadn't made those comments? Because I'm pretty sure that's bullshit.

Soft-skinned celebrities like Swift are more likely to endorse a Democrat or keep shtoom in the current US political climate. Either way, her feelings towards Vance's comment are entirely irrelevant.
