BuzzFeed News—or should that be Newzz?—is being shuttered, at the urging of shareholders. The news landscape will never be the same again. Hopefully.
With 100 employees, the division loses a thought-provoking $10M annually. But the giddy days of tech venture capital are behind them. In the world of shareholders and investors, even a quality news site would struggle to justify itself under those circumstances. (pipe)
