Where there's a Will, there's no way
Following his physical and verbal outburst at Oscars 2022, Will Smith resigned from the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Academy has now imposed a ten-year ban on his attendance at future ceremonies.
At the rate that the show's popularity's declining, the ban could become irrelevant in half of that time. (pipe)
Smith is still eligible to be nominated for an award, he just won't be able to attend to collect it in person, should he win. Emancipation is rumoured to be Oscar bait. It would be freakin' hilarious if he won next year.
