What's that smell?

A rose is a Rose is a liar

Only half a year ago, Ruby Rose said that she would be willing to return to Batwoman, as Kate Kane, if the opportunity arose. It didn't.

Now, she claims that she would never return under any circumstances, and lists several grievances as to why not. She also takes a few shots at her past co-workers.

Rose concluded by asking fans to stop asking if they would ever return to the show. “I wouldn’t return for any amount of money nor if a gun were to my head. NOR DID I QUIT. I DID NOT QUIT. They ruined Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me. I followed orders, and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to sign my rights away. Any threats, any bullying tactics or blackmail will not make me stand down,” she wrote.

So, in a period of a few months, Rose goes from happy to rejoin, to wild horses couldn't drag her back. Yeah, right.

As expected, Warner Bros has robustly refuted Rose's accusations, describing her version of events as revisionist history. They further clarified that her contract was not renewed, due to unspecified complaints about her workplace behaviour.

One of the accusations that Rose had made was that Dougray Scott yelled at women on set, which he denies. It must be tough, though, being the only real talent among a sea of bottom-rung failures. I'd be surprised if at least his agent didn't receive a talking-to, for getting him into that shitshow in the first place.

Whatever the true events, it's safe to say that Rose's Batwahmxn days are over. Perhaps the suit just wasn't literal perfection, after all.
