This is my truth

Damning with faint praise

The Grand Hotel, Pristina, Kosovo.

Politicians can be relied upon to be economical with the truth. Indeed, in many cases their use of reactive or unrealistic hyperbole rates alongside that of marketers, influencers, and sports commentators.

Kosovar president Hashim Thaçi is usually keen to boost his country's profile. But all even he could say of The Grand Hotel in the country's capital, Pristina, was: I don’t think it is the worst hotel in the world, but that is because the world is very big.

Ouch! Nevertheless, it's refreshing to see such honesty in a politician.

Pristina seems to be far from pristine though!
