The ramblings of a pseudointellectal…or a genuine idiot?

MegaCorpCH no more

Earlier this year, MegaCorpCH was sold. I can't remember the exact timeline, since it's lost in the mists of corporate lethargy. But, sometime in the summer, a committee of highly-paid, crack corporate nonentities announced that they'd decided on a new company name. It's a very clever name, derived from the Latin or Greek for something-or-other, and symbolising whatever-the-hell. Unfortunately, it's not particularly memorable or inspiring. But, at least it's home.

The new name and corporate branding came into effect, or ineffect, a couple of months ago. And, lo, InstantlyForgettableNameCorp was announced, to a largely indifferent world.

Anyhow, the employee satisfaction survey dropped into my inbox today. One of the questions was: how likely is it that I would recommend InstantlyForgettableNameCorp as a place to work? To which all I could think was, I have no idea; I've only worked here myself for a couple of months! (confused)

Shit! While writing this, I've realised that the link to the survey in the invitation mail was my personal link. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so candid and forthright. (eek)

Ah well, if it ends badly, it'll be the first time that I noticed any change coming out of a satisfaction survey. Hey ho.
