The drains have backed up again

Bonkers, but not in a benign way

North Korea has escalated its sabre rattling, and now threatens a rocket strike on the US territory of Guam.

"The Hwasong-12 rockets to be launched by the KPA [Korean People's Army] will cross the sky above Shimane, Hiroshima and Koichi [Kochi] Prefectures of Japan," state news agency KCNA said, quoting army chief General Kim Rak Gyom. "They will fly 3,356.7km for 1,065 seconds and hit the waters 30-40km away from Guam."

That's very precise. Especially for a rocket that has, thus far, only had limited testing without a payload. And the results of North Korea's previous rocket tests have been somewhat erratic.

1,065 seconds. That's 17.75 minutes. Most people would give the flight time in terms of a broad estimate, such as 15 to 20 minutes, less than 20 minutes, or about quarter of an hour. But General Kim is deluded enough has enough faith to state the flight time to the nearest second. Bless him. He's the army chief, y'know. (clown)

Meanwhile, North Korean media has responded to US President Trump's warning that the country risked fire and fury—admittedly a risible-sounding threat—as being a load of nonsense and that he was bereft of reason. And firing missiles at a US territory isn't? (confused)

The US needs to escalate its response, and deploy another Seth Rogen comedy masterpiece. Then they'll be sorry, and no mistake!
