The ramblings of a pseudointellectal…or a genuine idiot?

Gambon gone

On the passing of Sir Michael Gambon, many of the tributes to him remark on his mischievous sense of humour. Such as his behaviour on the set of The Singing Detective (1986), playing a character suffering from psoriatic arthopathy, which required him to wear heavy makeup to mimic flaking and raw skin:

The first time Sir Michael Gambon was wheeled onto set in his full make-up, all the cast and crew were reduced to a stunned silence. Gambon broke the ice by saying "What's all this fuss about Chernobyl then? I went there for a holiday and it didn't do me any harm."

Bloody legendary! (LMAO)

I enjoyed his appearances whenever he came on screen. RIP.
