It's all gone to shit

Paharma or pharma?

We've mused here previously on the pseudonyms used by hookers in the predatory publishing industry. The family names are rarely run-of-the-mill common names: Smith; Jones; or even Bloggs. Instead, the last name is often interchangeable with the first. The first name may not be the first name, if you see what I mean.

In this case, an s has been added. So, it's more likely that I'm being contact by Clare Richards than Richards Clare.

She sweetly tells me that her team has found my article very interesting. And that their readers will find it inspirational. I have to admit that I felt a swell of pride over it. Whatever it is.

But the illusion is shattered. For Ms Richards might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, if she cannot spell the very industry that her learned journal purports to service. Unless Paharma is actually employed by JPRCP, to deal with her email on her behalf.
