This is my truth

Q: How can you tell when a politician's lying?

Back in March, Kevin Rudd, who was ousted as leader of Australia's Labor Party by Julia Gillard in 2010, declined to challenge Gillard for the role, stating that:

The only circumstances under which I would consider a return to leadership is if there is an overwhelming majority of the party suggesting such a return and if the position was vacant. Those circumstances do not exist.

Kevin Rudd

Technically, they still don't exist, since Gillard has not vacated the position. But it should come as no surprise that the two are now in a winner-takes-all leadership battle.

And so the world turns.

A: You can see their lips move.
