100% or less

the label states “100% COTTOM 60% COTTON 40% RECYCLED POLYESTERI went into the local Sainsbury's supermarket to buy cotton pyjamas. I only wear natural fibres, because artificial ones make me sweat. And I'm wary of descriptions such as cotton rich, because that's not necessarily pure cotton.

So I was impressed on turning over a packet of cotton rich pyjamas to find the sticker on the back proclaiming 100% cotton. And, just below that, 60% cotton 40% recycled polyester! WTF?

Presumably the 100% cotton refers to the 60% of the garment that's actually cotton. (confused)
