Grab 'em while you can!
Walmart is closing four stores in Chicago, due to financial losses stemming from customers preferring to not pay for the goods that they're walking out with. Some people, including elected local government officials, are having difficulty understanding the company's actions, calling the closures racist
because they only affect black neighbourhoods; seemingly oblivious to the fact that these are the places where thefts predominate.
If you're having difficulty wrapping your head around their logic, it's because it would shame a five-year-old. But at least one of the local residents sees the situation for what it is, adding this ironic titbit to prove the point:
The day after Walmart announced that they were closing four stores, the very next day, somebody went in there and stole six TVs out of the store.
