A live-action TV series of the Halo game franchise is coming to the Paramount+ streaming service. The trailers are…grandiose and bombastic.
So far, so drear. I don't own an Xbox. I've never played the game. And I probably wouldn't bother with the show even if it was on a service that I already subscribed to. As for Paramount+…WTF?
But many people are anticipating this release. Anticipation inevitably begets disappointment. And, just as inevitably, disappointment begets froth on social media, which is what brought it to my attention in the first place. So here we are.
