I think I've pissed myself

Of superheroes and Sigmund

While philosophers love superheroes, psychologists do not. They're concerned that modern superheroes are an inappropriate role model for boys.

Today's superhero is too much like an action hero who participates in non-stop violence; he's aggressive, sarcastic and rarely speaks to the virtue of doing good for humanity. When not in superhero costume, these men exploit women, flaunt bling and convey their manhood with high-powered guns.

Nowt wrong in that! (pipe)

However, more traditional superheroes are acceptable, because they are real people with real problems and many vulnerabilities. Albeit with the ability to nip into a telephone booth, don cape and knickers, and then turn back time in the event that they missed opening hours at the corner shop.
