When will "X, formerly known as Twitter" become X?

Back at the end of July, Elon Musk announced that Twitter would henceforth be known as X. Presumably it marks the spot in general terms, rather than on a treasure map, because it was too early to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day—which is 19^th September, if you're curious.

So, ex-Twits have been Xing for over a month, yet the BBC's urinalists cannot seem to get over the bird's passing. Even now, articles refer to X, formerly known as Twitter. It's almost as if they've lost their best friend, or least-favoured bête noire, bless 'em.

I can't help but think that anyone aware of Twitter in the past was aware of its rebranding, and anyone who wasn't won't care one way or the other. It's time to get over it and move on, Auntie.

Mind you, it would probably help if X was no longer hosted on twitter.com, Elon. (rolleyes)
