What's that smell?

Clapp hands, here comes Raquel!
(Peertechz Publications)

Annals of Marine Science is another Peertechz quality webcomic leaching out of Hyderabad. I'm going to assume that my correspondent westernised her name to Raquel Clapp by happenstance, and without knowing that the clap is a colloquialism for gonorrhoea. Nevertheless, I really can't think of any name more apt for a sex worker. (LOL)

The main purpose of this post is to note that she's used the lastname/firstname order in her signature that can be so confusing when the lastname could easily be a first name. Also, she's tried to obfuscate what appears to be an identifier code after her name, by colouring it white. Strange. (shrug)

Still, I acknowledged her email within 24 hours, so I've kept to my side of the one-sided bargain. Yay me!

I have a recipe for fish pie. Would that be of any interest to your readership?

I wasn't expecting to receive a reply from the Clapp, and indeed I haven't. But I have received an automated mail…within 24 hours. Funny, automated responses tend to be more immediate than that, and they tend to come from generic no-reply addresses, on account of them being automated. Innit?

I have no idea what Please enable us to respond within 24 hours of receiving this email is supposed to mean; but as for giving them more personal information to allow inescapable communication concerning the scientific connection, I think I'll pass. Their communications seem to be inescapable enough as it is.
