Most of it's boring

Editorial Manager

The message is impersonal, and almost as terse as the subject line:

Subject: Archives of Medical and Clinical Research

This is disappointing. I prefer the personal touch, when my correspondent signs off with their name. Then I know whether I'm dealing with a ho or a rent-boy.

Unless Editorial Manager is their name, of course; after all, stranger things have happened. But, if so, is that a male, female, or they/them? (thinking)
