Hedging their bets
Michael Angelis, beloved Liverpudlian actor, died yesterday. According to Wikipaedia and The Guardian newspaper, he was 68 years old.
But he was 76 years old, according to the BBC and, err…The Guardian newspaper! (confused)
The first of those two Guardian articles was later revised. And, as if to show the BBC what transparency means, a footnote was added to clarify the changes.
This article was amended on 1 June 2020. Angelis was 76, not 68 and was born in London, not Liverpool as earlier version said.
