Will this madness never end?

June is not enough

Protesters in Georgia—the country, not the US state—stormed a Pride festival in the country's capital yesterday. The BBC News droid describes them as right-wing, which may well be the case; or they might simply be to the right of the droid's handlers. You can never be sure with the communards at the People's Republic of Portland Place. (shrug)

The demonstrators included Orthodox Christian clergy, who could probably be described as conservative with a lowercase c; so, I guess that's right-wing? In support of its assessment, the droid informs us with a five-word paragraph that:

Homophobia remains rife in Georgia.

Or could it just be annoyance at Pride month being extended into July? It does sound like the LGBTQIABC+FLAPFLAPFLAP are taking the piss, really. They did the same thing last year, and got the same reaction.

As Albert Einstein probably didn't say: insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results. Perhaps they should just stick to the whole frikkin' month of June in future.
