Spewing out template missives for predatory webcomics and events, to harvested lists of email addresses of people who're antipathetic to you and your cause, can't be a fulfilling career. And given the money-grubbing nature of the people who run these schemes, I can't imagine the pay's too great either.
Consequently, those who engage in these practices are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Obvious and amusing mistakes are common, but I don't recall anything so egregious as that of Editor-Dental Research
. I'm assuming they forgot to replace their template's placeholder text with the boilerplate. Whoopsie!
I have no idea whether this is a new predator, or one that I've come across. The domain is not linked to a website, but the mail resolves to scholarworkmail.com, which seems to host, or act as an umbrella for, a whole slew of vaguely familiar-adjacent domains. So I'll park it here for no other reason than I don't know what else to do with it.
