Will this madness never end?

'My truth'

Another popular song, another grifter out for a slice of the action. This time, it's Sami Chokri trying to dip his hand into Ed Sheeran's royalties for Shape of You.

Last week, Sheeran told the court that the contested element of Shape of You was "very short", and the relevant parts of both songs were "entirely commonplace". He added: "Even so, if I had heard Oh Why at the time and had referenced it, I would have taken steps to clear it. [snip] Giving evidence on Monday, Mr Chokri disputed the star's claim, saying: "I believe Ed Sheeran heard it, that's my truth."

Personally, I'm kinda fed up with this opinion dressed up as my truth baloney. It's just a lamebrained way of saying you might think it's bollocks, and I can't substantiate it, but I'm sticking with it all the same. Opinions are only opinions, beliefs are just beliefs. Neither are truth.

In my opinion, Shape of You is a shit song. But I don't believe that Chokri should see a single penny of Sheeran's royalties. (pipe)

British judge in making sense shocker!

Yes, you read that correct. Mr Justice Zacaroli has ruled that Sheeran and collaborators did not steal from Sami Chokri.

So, all's well that ends well. Unless you happen to be a grifter out for the take. Or I have to listen to Shape of You again.
